And THIS is why you do NOT approach a junkwall that is housing raiders, especially not the chokepoint where you're forced to the part with the "broken" semi-truck where they'll blind you with high beams before shooting your head off, "wave goodbye to your head wanka!"

Its original Fallout 3 (Van Buren) by Black Isle artwork, I have put it here because its pretty hard to find on the net, especially now when Ovlivion with Guns is released by Bethesda.

Propably it was entrance to one of the cities in the game (only alpha demo of Van Buren is avialable to public) like Junktown in Fallout: [link]

It was most certainly not Oblivion with guns. As strongly evidence by my love for Fallout 3 and the Fallout series as a whole but general lack of ability to give a shit about TES4 or any other TES game. You either didn't play Fallout 3 (at the time of your post) or don't want to accept that Bethesda did a good job with Fallout 3. Was it different? Yes. Was it bad? No.

Though it was a shame how far Van Buren was in development when it got axed. So much done for it to just all go to waste. Though I believe all the stuff from Van Buren that doesn't contradict Beth Soft's canon is in fact canon.

I played Fallout 3 (not much but about several hours) at my buddy's computer. It was without New Vegas of course, so I do not speak about the expansion that I heard did better then the 'basic' game.

... and Yes I was and still am pretty disappointed about it, there are a lot things done poorly in the Bethesda's Fallout, I even did not liked the Fallout Tactics, the game worked quite well if You played in 'real-time' but the tour based combat was broken - to be precise the moment when the battle started being for some time real-time, then switching to tour-based after some random period of time.

Is Fallout 3 total crap? No. Different? Of course. Comparing it to today's games its quite nice game, comparing it to the original Fallout 1 & 2 its just poor sequel.

I am glad that Brian Fargo started his Wasteland 2 on Kickstarter, I funded it the first day and look forward for a great classic isometric tour-based RPG.
